![]() My house is a mess right now! And I am not ashamed to admit this! The reason I am not ashamed to admit this is because this has nothing to do with laziness or procrastination, for me…. it has to do with clarity. I was starting to get down on myself for letting my home get this way but then I looked around, and then I looked at my schedule and I got clear about whats going on… SPRING TIME is here! This might not mean much to any of you, but with the changing seasons comes a messy home for me because my routine starts to change. And when my routine changes, housework is the first to suffer lol! Which is why having a Spiritual Self Care Altar is super important to me. Because no matter what is going on in my external world, my Self Care Altar reminds me that my "inner work" is just as important and connecting to my Higher Self ultimately shapes my "outer world", meaning my physical environment. So now that we are having sunny days I am outdoors more often and attending more events around town. All Winter long, I was mostly indoors when I wasn’t working on my business so I had an easy schedule I could commit to for housework. Nowadays, the time that I would usually schedule for housework has been replaced with new activities! New activities that don’t happen during Winter.. Soooo its time to revamp my Daily Inspired Action list and Self Care ritual for Spring! Many people right now are in “Spring Cleaning” mode and that is somewhat what I am doing as well, but I like to include energetic clearing, Daily Inspired Actions (aka my To-Do list) and Self Care rituals into my Spring Cleaning because the energy of our environment is changing. And when the energy of our environment changes, it affects us energetically and ultimately will affect us physically and mentally. So here is my new Inspired Action List & Spring Self Care Rituals:
~Clean & Organize Altar My Self Care Altar always comes BEFORE housework. This is my sacred little haven. No matter how disorganized my environment is around me, my Altar always has to look and feel beautiful to me. (Especially having 2 creative souls living under one roof both creating new products... our whole house can easily turn into a workshop in minutes!) Working on my altar before housework, helps me let go of any resentment I may feel from chores and errands that are not always fun. My Self Care Altar reminds me of my values and guides me to realize the higher purpose of my actions. When I am spiritually balanced, my daily activities feel like Inspired Actions as opposed to just a boring daily To-Do list. ~A daily Brain Dump This newfound Spring energy has inspired so many projects and ideas that I want to birth but I need to stay focused on my current projects that need completing. The way I resolve this and not suppress my creativity is write out a list of ALL my ideas and projects I would like to work on. I write it ALL down, things that may or may not ever happend, as well as things that NEED to get done, like returning phone calls or library books, laundry, start a book club or a Lunar Planning meet up group.. Paint, write a poem, craft with my kids.. you know.. dreams as well as not so exciting errands. I don’t categorizing or list these in order of importance because I don't want to hesitate getting all my thoughts down on paper. If my brain starts to want to analyze any of this, it will defeat the purpose. This is a Brain Dump and its exactly what it sound like. I am dumping all of my thoughts on to the paper and freeing my mind of all the pressure I may feel from my to do list. Once this Brain Dump is complete, I have the option of sorting through my list or just throwing it out. ~A Monthly Brain Dump This is similar to the daily Brain Dump but the intention of doing this helps me figure out my “6 Things to Focus on” for the month and then I add this to my Lunar Planner. I did this yesterday April 3rd which is the first Monday of this Month. Now I am clear about what priorities I need to focus on. ~”Ta-Da” List Another thing I am working on is an evening “Ta-Da” list. This is basically a Success list. Instead of a To-Do list, it is a “Ta-Da” list as in things I COMPLETED... Ta-Da! I write down every thing I did. This helps me see how much I accomplished all day and gives me a feeling of accomplishment. It also reminds me that the sooner I am done with my current projects, I can start on my new ones. ~8 min. Morning Meditation When I start to feel inspired, it can easily turn into frazzled energy for me and this mostly comes from wanting to do so many things at once and not being clear on my priorities. For most of the Winter months, I would just light a morning candle and say an affirmation as my Self Care ritual and this would help me tune in to my Divine Self. However, with this new Spring Energy, I wasn’t feeling so in tune or connected to my Higher Self by just lighting my candle and saying a prayer, so I am adding a morning meditation and this is very helpful for me. Hope this was helpful! Don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any questions about this post or any other topic from the blog!
